Atlantic Brasserie Review

  • Rating Great meal (Rating 4.8/5)
I booked here for the first time in the "January Sale"- two courses for £12. What a great deal that was! Although I ordered a starter of scallops at a £3 supplement it was still very good value. My three good sized scallops came with little rounds of black pudding and various garnishes which were all delicious apart from the apple sauce. This was SO sweet it was pretty unpleasant and even paired with the strong flavour of the black pudding was too overpowering. having said that the scallops were cooked to perfection, and my friends' starters of pate and a mushroom, cashew and cheese bake were both delicious. I followed with Boeuf Bourguignon which was one of the best I've eaten in a long time - it must have been slow cooked for hours and was rich, with a depth of flavour that was just perfect. The other two courses of chicken and duck were judged just as highly and the portion sizes were all very generous - something that doesn't always happen with a special offer on price. I would highly recommend The Atlantic Brasserie for both excellent food and service.
