Antipasti (City Centre) Review

  • Rating Ruined night thanks to one of your waitresses (Rating 2.2/5)
First I'd like to reiterate that the food was okay, the problem wasn't the food, it was the attitude and behaviour of one of the waitresses (longer black hair). I've been to this restaurant over 7 times id say in the last 10 or so months, but never again. 23/2/18 - the table was booked for 8 for a birthday meal for myself and friends (7 dined, spoke with maitre d' and assured that was okay if only 7 dined). Arrived slightly early 6.50pm. Got seated at 7.15pm. But still not a problem. We understand it was busy. We ordered our meals and everything was going okay. Starters arrived, but we had no cutlery. Waited for 3/4 minutes while our starters are getting cold to have cutlery getting placed in front of us (by same waitress we had problem later with). Later when the bill arrives and while trying to say to waitress we want 4 separate breakdown of the bill as different couples are paying different way, the waitress ignored us and preceded to walk downstairs or perhaps didn't hear. Waited for 5mins assuming said waitress would appear with separate bills (she did not). My group preceded to head to front of house area as we could see waitress talking and working in that area. Conversation went as follows:- Me - Hi can we have seperate itemised bills please as we want to pay seperately. Her - fine, just work out what you need to pay and give me it Me - if you could ring us up seperate bills and we will tell you what we had etc. Her (visibly annoyed and vexed turns to another blonde waitress)- Couldn't they have told me this earlier (rolls eyes) Me not wanting to bother someone which I could tell was a busy night and worked in bar/restaurant service myself we decided to try and just try and calculate all our portion of the bills each. We precede to hand over the money (with a tip) that's when i notice a discrepancy with the bill. We had been billed for 8 people and only 7 people had dined. I pointed this out to waitress and still visibly annoyed said "okay." (blunt tone) She stood with the £12.95 (all of which in small change and continued to say with a false smile "are you sure you really want this." Absolutely abysmal service and attitude of your waitress. Put a wet towel on an-otherwise good night. Won't be returning ever again.
