Antipasti (City Centre) Review

  • Rating Disappointing (Rating 2.8/5)
I had booked lunch at antipasti. I had liver pate and my friend took the mussels for starters. We enjoyed the starters but the mains were disappointing. We had ordered a chicken burger (this had a £1 supplement) and risotto. The risotto was ok but the burger was really disappointing. The chicken was overcooked and ended up being far too dry. I ate half of it covering it in ketchup so it wasn't as dry but then gave up. Not good at all. When the waitress picked up our dishes she didn't even ask if there was a problem. So I asked her to tell the chef that the chicken was too dry to eat. She came back and apologised for it and said they would take off the £1 supplement because of that. Really? That was the best they could do? As I said, quite disappointing. The restaurant atmosphere itself was nice but it would have been better if I could have enjoyed my meal as well.
