Antipasti (City Centre) Review

  • Rating Fast, filling, affordable (Rating 4/5)
Last minute decision to do lunch instead of late breakfast we were headed to an older Italian establishment nearby when I spotted the £5 express lunch deal. Let's give it a shot, we thought so booked for the next slot and we were pleasantly surprised with the menu choices on arrival. We opted for chicken pate, some delicious prawns in chilli and garlic with plenty of garlic bread, an Al Forno fusilli bolognese and a chicken burger later and we were full enough to give dessert a second thought but we went for it anyway sinking some caramel shortbread, sticky toffee pudding and ice cream. Service was very prompt, almost too prompt to savour the wine we bought. After supplements, desserts and a nice bottle of rose, the bill was approx £30. Money well spent in my opinion.
