Rating Rating 3.8/5
This was our first visit to Amarone, but what a wonderful secret this restaurant turned out to be! A bit of a wobble when we were arriving, and another couple during the meal were more than amply compensated by the quality of the food!
I started with the Cozze e vongole. Seafood is not always easy to get right, but I'd rate this effort as four star. My companion began with Tonno e spada affumicato. The one thing that might have lifted this from four to five stars would have been a dressing for the salad leaves that were served undressed.
Then came the main courses: I was pretty confident that the Linguine ai frutti di mare would be as good as my starter, and it was! My companion was equally happy with her pasta with a beef sauce.
Overall rating for the quality of food: 4 stars. There is still some work to be done on the quality of the service, but with a better trained workforce, this restaurant can only go on improving!
