Alston Bar & Beef Review

  • Rating Poor atmosphere spoiled the good food (Rating 2.8/5)
Booked a last minute table for lunch. First people to arrive for lunch service so place empty. Lovely welcome by the staff member, she was so warm and cheery. However she showed us to our table next to the fire escape weren't keen on the table so moved to the next one. Of all tables to show us to!!!!! In an empty restaurant. I realise other tables may have been booked however not during our time there. There was at least 10 staff come and go out the fire escape to collect food. Watching tins of food, and trays pass under tea towels was not the best experience. All I could think was thank goodness we didn't take the first able. Bad enough where we sat however myself and husband would have had to have people bush past ever 5 minutes. A shame, was so looking forward to our visits. Disappointed.
