Alla Turca Turkish Restaurant Review

  • Rating Good food but too expensive (Rating 2.8/5)
The food was absolutely lovely but portion sizes were tiny for the cost and despite a discount with our 5pm booking this was a very expensive mid week dinner. The mezze was £5.95 per person and there was very little of each dish. The fallafel was also very overcooked and dry. With only one small piece of each of the selection per person this was an extortionate starter. The main course was delicious and the deserts were very tasty. When the bill arrived the restaurant had a cheek to include a 10% service charge. Adding a service charge for a party of three is simply rude. We most likely would have tipped at least this amount anyway as the waitress was very friendly and efficient. Despite the quality of the food I will not be back in this restaurant, nor will I be recommending it to anyone in the future.
