About Alla Italia Ristorante Italiano
Alla Be Back!
Food was superb; both my partner and I thoroughly enjoyed our lunch.
He had the Parma bruschetta and I had the arranciani.
Then we ordered the home made bread which was so yummy with spaghetti and meatballs and penne with Italian sausage. Mmmmm!!
We had a hot chocolate each and a large glass of Pinot Grigio and a soft drink; all for £34. Wow!!
I’ll definitely be back and my other half agreed!!
Great value for money, lovely place
We were welcomed by our lovely waiter (unfortnately never got his name but only server there) He was extremely attentive and helpful throughout. Dinner was excellent and the brilliant service gave us a great day out.
Cosy city centre Italian
Opened in early 2014, Alla Italia is a Italian restaurant on Pitt Street in Glasgow city centre. As well as the welcoming dining room, it has a cocktail bar where guests can enjoy drinks while listening to the live background music played at weekends. It is very handy for the nearby King’s Theatre but just as popular with lunching office workers, shoppers, parties and dining couples.
Authentic Italian classics with fresh produce
The chefs at Alla Italia take great pride in locally sourcing as many ingredients as possible. From the dishes on the set menus to the a la carte, everything is freshly prepared and cooked daily. All diners are given complimentary focaccia, olive oil and olives to nibble while selecting their meal.
As well as a good selection of classic Italian pasta and pizza, the menu includes dishes such as the scallops with lemon butter and the poached egg, Parma ham and Parmesan on garlic bread. The carefully chosen wine list ranges from Italian Pinot Grigio to New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc.
Perfect for pre-theatre meals
Alla Italia is situated on Pitt Street, a short distance from the O2 ABC and just around the corner from the King’s Theatre. Taxis to the Hydro and SECC will take five to ten minutes. There are numerous bus routes and taxi stands on Sauchiehall Street. Queen Street and Central railway stations are both within a fifteen minute walk.
