I WILL NEVER BE BACK AND WILL WARN ALL MY FRIENDS ABOUT MY DISAPPOINTING MEAL
I booked a table for four for Saturday pre-theatre. The service started very well as there were only another two people in the restaurant, however by the time our starter was served they were very busy with only two waiters working the floor. My sister and niece had the tomato bruschetta which they both commented was very bland, which needn't have been the case as I have had tomato bruschetta in other places which has been bursting with flavour! I had the mushroom bruschetta with dolcelatte which was awful! There was hardly any mushrooms and what was there were almost raw, and the dolcelatte didn't taste very fresh. When the waiter came to clear our plates I told him this and he just raised his eyebrows. At this point I didn't take it any further as my dad gets confused and gets very upset with any kind of confrontation.
Our mains were mixed, my sister said her fish was nice, my niece had the pasta with pesto with garlic bread, she said the garlic bread didn't taste of garlic and the pasta sauce was also tasteless. I had the spaghetti carbonara which was also lacking taste.
We then waited around 1/2 hour for them to take our plates and my dads order for ice cream.
When the bill came they hadn't taken off our 10% 5pm discount, but to make matters worse they had added 10% service charge for a table for four, which we hadn't been told about.
At this point I took the bill to the waiter and told him to take our 10% 5pm discount off the bill and also the 10% service charge, as we hadn't been happy with the service due to our long wait and my complaint about the starter being ignored.
Needless to say this is an experience I wont repeat.
