We went for the 2 courses for 2 and a bottle of wine for £29. When we arrived we were met with a surcharge for the steak, which I find hard to believe considering we are dining in a steakhouse. We asked if we would be able to change the bottle of wine for 2 beers we were told no. When I then said I would have soda with my white wine I was charged for a Spritzer at £5.10 instead of just the soda water (as we had an unopened bottle of wine on the table which we had paid for). We brought this to the waiters attention 3 times but he still didn't understand why we were aggrieved at paying for a bottle of wine and then being charged for wine, when the bottle is unopened on the table). I felt we were rushed out the door as soon as we were finished and taken to the rooftop bar, where we waited for over 10 minutes to get served, whilst the only bar person stood at a table chatting for the whole time we were sitting waiting to be served. When we complained about this to the duty manager we were told the reason we had to wait 'Could have been because there had been a wedding on and they had been very busy earlier on and they may have thought that they could relax'. The duty manager told us we were welcome to go back up to the bar and have a drink. At no point throughout the conversation did the manager apologise or show any empathy. I was left feeling very disappointed and ripped off.
