29 - The Grill At The Square Review

  • Rating Disappointing (Rating 1.6/5)
We booked the 2 for £16 lunch offer. Beautiful place and starters were lovely (i had prawn cocktail and my friend had duck spring rolls) but wine was extortionate - cheapest was Sauvignon Blanc at £7 for a large glass. I can get a bottle for a fiver from Asda. The mains were dreadful - the pork was dry and my friend's Ox cheek was bland; they did exchange her meal for something else - she chose the chicken and said it was much better. The service was over-zealous. Quite obvious they wanted the table back quickly.
