29 - The Grill At The Square Review

  • Rating Rating 2.8/5
Not totally impressed with this place at all, especially after reading the previous reviews. The walnut bread before dinner was served was delicious and a nice touch. However, our main courses were both a major let down. My partner ordered the roast chicken which was terribly dry whilst I ordered the fish pie. Now surely, fish pue should have fish in it but this pie was stuffed full of prawns and mussels. With the exception of fish, I hate seafood and found this so offputting. The mash was nice but not impressed at all with the accuracy of their money. One last gripe would be the fact that we were served by 6 different waiting staff, consistency is the key and there seemed to be no interaction between the staff. Anyway, might give it a chance to redeem itself but not anytime soon.
