29 - The Grill At The Square Review

  • Rating Dining at the grill (Rating 4.4/5)
Been to THE GRILL many times and always find it to be excellent. Last night we dined at around 6pm and whilst a lot busier, given the time of day, we still thoroughly enjoyed the ambience. We had a little complaint about the starters, 2 out of 3 went for the GOATS CHEESE and BEETROOT salad. Bit bland, heaps of lettuce, cold goats cheese, unripened pears and large walnuts. All in all, not too inspiring. When waitress returned she asked what we thought, so we articulated that it wasn't the best - she apologised and dealt with it in a very efficient manner, telling management and in the end we were given starters for free as a goodwill gesture. Thought this was an excellent way to deal with a complaint, which quite frankly, may just be a personal wrong choice.
