29 - The Grill At The Square Review

  • Rating Minor issues in a otherwise excellent meal (Rating 4.8/5)
Nice venue, good location, very reasonable pricing (if you go for the set menus) and homemade bread a nice touch (would have been nice to have been offered an alternative - the table beside us has tomato bread and I sat there envious). Starters were nice enough lots of little touches (lemon wrapped in cheesecloth to stop pips). Only issue was pate/toast ratio was ludicrous and misjudged, 3/4 of it went back. As for the main, flank steak in Jerk sauce (steak sauce had no punch and underseasoned) and Chicken breast was excellent. Would happily go back despite these issues that can be remedied easily.
