I was expecting big things from this place and was disappointed. Young inexperienced staff who tried their best but couldn’t quite pull it off.
The service was sloppy and we were left to hang our jackets on our chair even though they were wet from the heavy rain outside. The food was ok, I had the prawn cocktail which was overpowering and in an odd tall glass to try to make it look better than it was. I was pleased by the complementary fresh baked bread, but the waitress cut it on the table and left crumbs everywhere. The main was better, but nothing special.
I was further disappointed when I checked the bill after and found that we were charged for our wine that was supposed to be included in the promotion. The décor was nice but the atmosphere was dull and unwelcoming. They also have a policy of not allowing jugs of water on the table and so I had to summon the poor waitress every time my glass was empty. Wouldn’t go back as there are plenty of friendly, high quality restaurants in Glasgow and this is not one of them.
