Excellent food and service in beautiful surroundings

Five of us went for the 2 for 29 deal. What terrific value! The starters were all lovely (soup, haggis bonbons and mediterranean vegetables with halloumi). We all particularly enjoyed the lovely fresh bread loaf that was cut in front of us. Yummy. Main courses were great too (the fishcake and the beef pie). It doesn't look a huge amount on the plate but is actually very filling and we all agreed we were glad we didn't order any sides! The wine included in the deal was very palatable. We added coffee to follow, which came with shortbread and tablet. More yummy!! Service was attentive without being intrusive - nice and discreet. Altogether a lovely lunch which we all enjoyed very much.
