Lebowskis West End West End, Glasgow

British, Modern, Bar Food, Gastro Pub, Burgers, BBQ

The first of three - and counting - Lebowskis bars, this original Argyle Street outlet opened in 2017. It could be argued that Lebowskis helped kick start the surrounding Finnieston area as one of Glasgow's most fashionable neighbourhoods for eating and drinking. From the drinks menu to the bowling skittles, the quirky spirit of the film which inspired the bar is evident throughout. Expect a decor which is stripped back but comfortable. Outside seating and Lebowskis' signature range of White Russian cocktails are among the attractions.

With its exposed brick, neon signs and metal work, Pizza Punks looks as edgy and urban as the name suggests. Sitting in a quiet residential part of Glasgow’s Argyle Street, on the western side of the M8, The Shandon Belles is a cosy little bistro. Part of the Two Fats family, it nestles below Two Fat Ladies at The Buttery. With exposed stone, stained glass features and walls lined with curios, it is a warm, inviting and quirky space. Good option for pre-theatre

Booked after attending a matinee at the Pavillion, this restaurant is ideally placed in Theatreland for those with onward plans. The service is pitched accordingly. Its a little rushed but I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt that they're assuming you want fed and out in time for a show. Food was great, if a little limited for the vegetarian in the party. Drinks are a little expensive given its draught soft drinks for £2+ All in all a good choice for those who want to eat and go, rather than for those who want to linger over a meal and blether.

    Cafe Rogano

All the food chosen by the group was really nice. Well presented, good sized portions and tasty. The decor is a bit tired looking though and due to the weather we were the only customers there which obviously didn't provide an ambience on this occasion. However would definitely return as the food is excellent
