Babbity Bowster is one of those iconic Glasgow drinking and dining spots that charms anyone lucky enough to stumble upon it.
Tucked away on Blackfriars Street, it is both a small guest house and French-influenced restaurant that showcases seasonal Scottish ingredients.
Inside, you will find a cosy fireplace, restful decor and an overall welcoming feel. Babbity Bowster is actually named after an old Scottish country dance, so it’s fitting that occasional live music events add to the vibe.

Cranside Kitchen is housed in the historic Rotunda North, a red-bricked former harbour tunnel
overlooking the Clyde. It offers an eye-popping range of dining choices and, as you’d guess by the
name, is right next to the landmark Finnieston Crane.
Open seven days a week, this free-to-enter food market and beer garden features stalls from five of

Most days, you can head there for breakfast, brunch, lunch or dinner.
h3. Choice of global cuisines
At Cranside Kitchen you get to enjoy around-the-world dining to suit all tastes (without having to worry
about choosing the perfect restaurant for your whole group). Simply wander around the food market,
pick whatever takes your fancy and then return to your table (both indoor and outdoor seating is
available). Grab tapas at Rioja, Greek cuisine at Halloumi; New York classics at Kilmurry & Co, modern
Italian at La Rotunda, and Japanese and Korean dishes at Pickled Ginger, then finish with a dessert.
Sample highlights include Rioja’s chicken lollipops with a red wine caramel; Halloumi’s king prawns with
chilli and garlic; Kilmurry’s ham hough terrine with wild mushroom and caramelised fig apple crisp; La
Rotunda’s stonebaked Pizza Primavera with goats’ cheese & artichokes, and Pickled Ginger’s spicy
