A family-run Indian restaurant which opened in 2019, Swadish offers an appetising combination of seasonal Scottish ingredients prepared using both modern and traditional Indian techniques and spices. The kitchen brigade is run by a chef who trained in many of India's top hotel restaurants and his cooking will come as a refreshing surprise to anyone who still thinks that chicken tikka masala is the pinnacle of Indian cuisine. The setting, a former fire station, is as stylish as the food.

Marco Pierre White Steakhouse Glasgow City Centre, Glasgow

European, Modern, Steaks & Grill

72 reviews

Named after the larger-than-life chef, and decorated with portraits of Marco, this vibrant, colourful restaurant in the stylish Hotel Indigo on Waterloo Street provides what the chef has called ‘affordable glamour’. It might seem as though Marco Pierre White Steakhouse Bar & Grill Glasgow does what it says on the tin but the steakhouse description perhaps doesn’t do full justice to everything on offer here.

A basement bar and restaurant, The Meat Bar is unashamedly carnivorous although vegetarians won’t go hungry. Stripped back walls and leather booths give it a handsome feel while savoury cocktails such as the Meatojito show a playful side to this fashionable West Regent Street hangout.

    A Tasty Lunch

Have been several times before. Reasonable number of choices on offer, tho a couple with supplements to be added which I would avoid. Very fair price for a midweek lunch, in modern surroundings, and attentive waiting staff. One minor point - it would be nice to serve the coffee - an extra - with a piece of tablet, lotus/amaretto-type biscuit or a chocolate mint, just to round off the meal.
