About Monadh Kitchen
Someone got me a voucher for my birthday but I'm glad they did. Food was really nice and fresh, service was good. Will be back.
Looking forward to my next visit
My friend and I had lunch here yesterday and thoroughly enjoyed our meal. We both had steak and each one was cooked to perfection. The starters were tasty, as was the additional "surprise" course of pea soup, which was nice touch.
The restaurant is well laid out and bright. We were made to feel welcome by the staff and looked after well by our waitress.
I would definitely recommend this restaurant. There is a good choice of food from the a la carte and market menus.
Scottish restaurant in Bearsden
Opened in the summer of 2017, Monadh Kitchen is a cosy bistro on New Kirk Road in Bearsden. Decked out in muted, natural colours with candles and up lighters giving everything a sympathetic glow, it is a compact and welcoming space. Seasonal Scottish cuisine
‘Seasonal produce cooked with care and served with heart’ is the aim at Monadh Kitchen. From wild venison to West Coast scallops, Scottish produce is prominent throughout the a la carte and market menu. The a la carte menu is carefully chosen with five starters, main courses and desserts plus a couple of steak options.
Typical starters might be the heirloom tomato and Ayrshire goat cheese salad or the chicken liver pâté with fig chutney and country bread. Main courses range from hearty ox cheek steak pies to a more delicate poached salmon in a crab bisque with saffron potatoes and sea vegetables. Steak options include a flat iron and a sirloin; both served with chips, onion rings and pepper sauce. A veggie option might be the handmade tagliatelle with broad beans, asparagus and crispy Parmesan.
