Steak and seafood on South Street
Rogue is a restaurant, cocktail bar and small gin distillery on South Street. Housed in what used to be Drouthy Neebors pub, Rogue specialises in serving up dry-aged beef, locally landed seafood, modern cuisine, gin cocktails and Champagne.
This would be a great spot for an oyster and Champagne fuelled date, a slap-up meal with friends or even a hearty business lunch. If you are lucky, you might even get to see the in-house gin brand, Felons, being created in real time.
Fresh, locally sourced cuisine
Dry-aged beef and locally landed seafood are the headline acts on Rogue’s food menus.
Smoked salmon, lobster fresh off the boat and hand-dived scallops are just a few examples of what is on offer. You can also enjoy freshly shucked oysters served au naturel or with toppings such as Talisker mist, Bloody Mary granita and smoked chipotle chilli.
Beef steaks are sourced from local butcher, Minick’s, and dried out for a minimum of fifty days in on-premise display cabinets. You can take your pick from a wide range of individual and sharing steaks, including ribeye, sirloin and chateaubriand. All are served with a side and choice of sauce.
More veggie-friendly options include the spinach gnocchi with charred onions and smoked garlic butter sauce or the wild sorrel & pumpkin flatbread with saffron dahl.
