Taking inspiration from all regions of India, Navadhanya offers several menus from an express lunch to a tasting menu (paired wines optional) via the a la carte. The chefs hand grind the spices fresh for starters such as the soft shell crab in a red pepper sauce or the lamb cutlet with smoked and mashed aubergine. The menus change regularly but typical main courses might be the slow-cooked Hyderabadi lamb shank or the railway lamb curry. Alternatively, you could push the boat out and order the lobster tail tossed with shallots, tomatoes and crushed peppers. Precise, artful presentation enhances all the dishes.
The new restaurant is located across from Edinburgh’s Lyceum Theatre. This move has increased the restaurants size from 45 to 60 covers. There is a NCP car park nearby on Castle Terrace and it is a 20 mins walk from Waverley Railway Station.
