About The Shore Grill & Fish House
Seafood restaurant in North Queensferry
The Shore Grill & Fish House is a showstopper of a seafood and grill restaurant perched on the headland above North Queensferry.
Inside, you will find an airy, elegant dining room with a carved ceiling, wood panelling, gleaming touches of brass, huge mirrors and open fires. The restaurant is flooded with natural light from the ceiling to floor windows that sweep across the entire frontage, offering stunning views of the new Queensferry Crossing and Firth of Forth.
Although seafood is the main focus, charcoal grilled meat and vegetarian dishes are also available. There is also an impressive selection of signature cocktails, wine and drinks. Live folk and jazz musicians provide entertainment on most evenings, making this a great spot to enjoy a lively meal in a chic setting.
British classics with a modern European twist
The Shore’s kitchen team are passionate about showcasing classic British ingredients via innovative cooking techniques. The restaurant’s all day menu features simple yet carefully crafted dishes made from the very best local produce.
Menus shift to match the seasons, but mains could feature the seared salmon with Scottish chorizo, smoked squash, potato dumplings, fennel, chilli and sage, the slow braised cheeks of Ayrshire pork with crispy belly, potato puffs, pickled red onion and burnt apple sauce, and the vegetarian haggis with smoked cheddar croquettas, pickled neeps, tattie crisps, whisky and pear chutney.
All steaks are dry-aged on the bone for a minimum of 35 days and grilled on the restaurant’s 450 degree charcoal grill for a smoky flavour. Choices includes fillet, sirloin and porterhouse steaks.
