I had a lovely meal at this restaurant yesterday. Totally disagree with all the comments made by Annabel, she must have gone to a different place! It was pretty full when we got there just after 5.30, mainly people going to the theatre, and everyone seemed to be enjoying the food. I had the homemade 'zuppa de ceci' which was a thick soup made with chickpeas, it was just delicious, really homey and tasty, served with fresh bread (thumbs up) followed by the Pollo marinato, which was very tasty. It was cooked with fresh thyme and lemon and you could really taste the difference with the fresh herbs. My friend ordered the bruschetta (again presented nicely)and the pasta with duck, pistachio and peas, an interesting concoction, but one which got a thumbs up as she cleared the plate!
For the price, Zucca is definately worth the visit. I was too full to have a dessert at the end but they looked really scrummy. Next time!
Service was swift so we didn't have to wait too long. Recommended.
