    The Tower never disappoints

Really enjoyable dinner, thank you - lovely food and ambience and attentive staff. And view of the pink evening sky over the castle was a bonus!

    Breakfast in Edinburgh

We were a party of 6 on Saturday at 10am. Restaurant opened at 10am so it was quiet. Service was excellent. Choice of breakfast good. A little pricey.

Contemporary Scottish restaurant in the Old Town

Tower Restaurant is a sleek and elegant rooftop venue in the Old Town. It is located within (or should that be on?) one of Edinburgh’s most visited buildings – the National Museum of Scotland on Chambers Street. The restaurant is glamorous, chic and oozes quiet luxury, ensuring guests receive a memorable fine dining experience. Tower Restaurant specialises in Scottish cuisine with a somewhat global flair and uses only the best produce in the dishes they create.

Expertly prepared food & views of Edinburgh’s skyline

The chefs at Tower Restaurant seek to make the most of Scotland’s produce so the menus often feature items such as hand dived scallops from the Isle of Mull; salmon from Loch Duart; or calf’s liver with Ayrshire bacon. Some guests have been known to treat themselves to the indulgent lobster thermidor or the restaurant’s expertly grilled chateaubriand steak, whilst others have opted for an earlier visit during the day to sample Tower Restaurant’s exquisite afternoon tea.

Accessibility to the Old Town & transport links

Wheelchair accessible and child-friendly, Tower Restaurant is on the roof of the Museum of Scotland on Chambers Street in Edinburgh’s Old Town. Pay and display parking is available outside the museum as well as NCP car park at nearby Lauriston Place. Waverley train station is a 10 minute walk from the restaurant, and there are also bus stops and taxi ranks close by.
