Second time at Surf and turf
The staff were extremely nice, and the restaurant and toilets were clean.
Really enjoyed my whitebait and truffle chips. A Delicious wine to top it off!
Stayed in the Hollyrood hotel and will definitely be back to enjoy both again.

Quality steak and seafood in Holyrood
Based in the 4-star Macdonald Holyrood Hotel, Surf & Turf serves up classic ingredients from farm and sea with a twist of fully packed flavouring. Using only the finest in locally sourced meat and fish, the focus is on elegant simplicity. This means that world-renowned Aberdeen Angus beef and hand-dived North Atlantic scallops will both be jostling for your attention on the menu (and, most likely, on your plate as well).
Surf, turf and so much more
Surf & Turf is led by Chef Glen Roach, who believes that meat and fish combinations lend themselves well to creativity.
The menu is divided into various sections, including sharing platters, surf & turf signature dishes, From the Farm, From the Sea and vegetarian.
Uniquely, you can also sample a selection of dishes infused with Eden Mill craft gins, such as Carlingford Oysters.
Other highlights include George Campbell & Sons whole Scottish langoustines, wild halibut with cock-a-leekie veloute; and 32-day aged steak with your choice of cut and served with lobster tails, scallops or langoustines, as well as sides.
The decadent Surf & Turf charcuterie platter offers a range of smoked treats such as wild boar, Arbroath pate, sliced beef and Scottish mussels, accompanied by pickled cucumber.
Veggies can tuck into dishes like the hand-picked herb risotto samphire or wild garlic gnocchi with pomegranate.
