4 of us had an amazing afternoon tea here yesterday. The food was delicious - beautiful fresh sandwiches, warm scones and yummy cakes. The venue was quiet but we didn't mind as we were left to relax, take our time and enjoy ourselves. Would highly recommend.
Monboddo - really good price but could have been presented better!
Went to Monboddo on Saturday 27 February with two girlfriends for afternoon tea. Really good price - as £12 with 20% off - so £9.60 each. The cakes and scones were lovely but the sandwiches were really uninventive - tuna and cheese, egg mayonnaise and coronation chicken and were served up as massive doorstop sandwiches - not very attractive. Service and ambience was lovely though!
Cosmopolitan bar in Edinburgh city centre
Part of the DoubleTree by Hilton in Edinburgh City Centre, Monboddo re-launched in early 2014 after a stylish refurbishment. A sleek, cosmopolitan bar on Bread Street, it features eye-catching turquoise sofas, designer lights and statement mirrors. The wall-to-ceiling windows let in lots of natural light and also make Monboddo ideal for people-watching.

Some of the most popular dishes include the fish ‘n’ chips; the handmade burger and the sesame bun filled with pulled pork and served with fries. As well as the attractions of the food menu, Monboddo has a well deserved reputation for crafting great cocktails.
