    Lovely restaurant for a winter meal. The staff were polite but seemed unorganised. Despite having booked a table we were left to stand in the entrance for several minutes whilst the waiter ran off to serve a meal. Someone else came along and asked if he could help? We were then shown to a table. Someone else then asked if we were on the "It is on " deal!! When our waiter had established we were on the 5pm deal he then ran off again with out asking if we wished to order drinks or explaining the menu - we were left to decipher this ourselves. He the brought four glasses of Champagne - we sent him back with two and ordered some other drinks. The menu was not as good as the example advertised on the website. Two of our party ordered fish as a main course this did not come with vegetable. On a set menu you would expect a main course to come with some vegetables. This was a very small piece of steamed fish - this does not constitute a main course. The chicken alternative was chicken leg again a cheap cut. The menu did not state what the to buy options were to accompany the fish and the waitress's split second rendition in broken English was not good. We were offered water for the table which did not arrive. The melon and ham starter had five 1cm cubes of melon! The cheese course on the menu was not available again the waitress did not explain this before we tried to order this. It was nice to have a glass of champagne and the food was reasonably well cooked but the portion sizes were small and it was obvious the menu was designed on a budget. Consequently we did not order a bottle of wine or coffee we simply paid our bill, which had service added to it, and left. I did tell our waitress that I was not impressed when I settled the bill but she seemed unconcerned. This was a chance for this restaurant to impress new customers that we had taken with us for a gift - they failed miserably. We all ended up dining again elsewhere in the evening!
