Excellent for date night
Excellent on all fronts bar the fact that our booking email had not been received by the restaurant from 5pm.co.uk

Was okay.
Shame it was not actually a special deal, never realised we were just been offered actual menu prices. We asked for medium rare steak but got served well done steak.

Hearty grill dining in Cowgate
As you’d expect by the name, Carnivore is all about the meat (which isn’t to say that there aren’t a few creative veggie options too).
The stylishly stripped down interior puts the focus firmly on the food, while the menu itself has a distinctly cross-Atlantic appeal. So expect Philly cheesesteaks and reuben sandwiches jostling for attention alongside fish & chips and pork belly with mash.
Best of all you can dine the way that suits you, taking your pick from hefty sharing platters, small plate selections and classic mains. Breakfasts and brunches are served too, as well as cheeky £5 cocktails from Sunday to Thursday. So why not wash down a plate of wings with a Cosmo or Bloody Mary?
A celebration of meaty treats
Highlights of the small plate selection include ox cheek bonbons, chicken wings in Kansas City or Alabama BBQ sauce, or salt & pepper squid. Veggies can tuck into a ‘KFC’ (Korean Fried Cauliflower) or buttery corn on the cob with Parmesan.
From the grill you can feast on a sirloin, rib eye or pork chop served with hand-cut chips and sauce. Other mains include the Carnivore Burger of two patties piled with bacon, cheese and bone marrow sauce, or short ribs with creamed corn and tomato relish. Weekly veggie burger specials are also available.
If you are in a sharing mood then why not try either the Meat Feast or Steak Out platters? Both serve up to three and include fries.
