Food and drinks were good service was very good. Only downside was the cooking smells in particular fat/oil which clung to our clothes and hair. They obviously don’t have an adequate ventilation system in their kitchen

Biblos is on Chambers Street in the atmospheric Old Town. Handy for Edinburgh Uni, and with licensing hours which are very popular with students, Biblos is open from breakfast until the small hours. The wall-to- ceiling, wraparound windows are great for people watching, particularly during the Festival. Part of Biblos, the adjacent B Bar runs live music every night. The cocktail list begs to be explored thoroughly.
The kitchen at Biblos likes to use local and seasonal ingredients to create a wide range of dishes from around the world. You could graze all day at Biblos, starting with a bacon roll for breakfast before moving onto panini, pasta or nachos at lunch.
You could start dinner with haggis, calamari or flamed chorizo with crumbled feta cheese. There are numerous steak, burger and salad options. Whether you have your eye on a traditional battered haddock with chips, or quite fancy something spicier, like the lamb chops marinated in Cajun spices, Biblos will sort you out.
Located on the corner of Chambers Street and South Bridge, Biblos is in the heart of the Old Town. Waverley train station and the tram line are a ten minute walk and there is limited on-street parking. Several of the city’s main bus routes run along the Bridges. Nearby attractions include Edinburgh Festival Theatre, the National Museum of Scotland and Edinburgh University.
