The restaurant did not have our confirmed booking. Thankfully they were able to accommodate us as it was a birthday dinner out. Liked the background music but the live music was too loud to hear yourself speak on the balcony.

    Nice food but weird smell

Food and staff were nice but weird sort of sanitary smell was quite off-putting. Irish guy who served us was nice but felt like we were stuck to the side and slightly ignored (ie no drink menu was given to us and it took 45 minutes to order).

Great catch up with friends, in pleasing surroundings

We had our glass of champagne as we chatted at a round table, there is plenty of space between the tables, so noise not an issue. Very good variety on our menu. Salmon was followed by haggis but our guest had the pigeon. She loved it. Great puddings & coffee. Generous helpings, nice staff & a great lunch.
