We would thoroughly recommend this restaurant, and the £9.95 pre-theatre menu.
Although not an extensive range to choose from, it was excellent value for money for £9.95 - with wine keenly priced too.
The ham hock terrine with an apple jelly, warm black pudding salad was lovely, although the terrine would have benefited from having been brought out of the fridge a couple of minutes earlier, to take the chill off it.
The breast of corn-fed chicken wrapped in Scottish smoked bacon with a pea and broad bean stew was excellent - very tasty, and a good sized portion too!
The restaurant was quite quiet as we dined early, but the staff were very courteous and attentive, without hovering over diners.
All in all a very good dining experience in very nice surroundings.
Would thoroughly recommend !
