About The Garden
Garden restaurant in Edinburgh’s New Town
The Garden is a restaurant within The Principal Charlotte Square Hotel in Edinburgh’s New Town. With dozens of plants dotted around the room, on the tables and hanging from the ceiling, it is a green oasis in the centre of the city. Wicker chairs and a glass roof add to the chic greenhouse vibe.
Comfort food dishes and Twilight Tea
The menu at The Garden is made up of salads, sandwiches, pizzas, main courses and desserts.
There’s a wide variety of dishes on offer to suit all tastes, including comfort food like haddock hand-cut chips, tartare sauce and mushy peas, and flat iron steak with hand-cut chips, vine tomatoes and garlic butter. There are also more delicate treats like hot smoked salmon, avocado and Crowdie open sandwich, and watermelon, feta, mint and pistachio salad.
A highlight of The Garden’s menu is their “Twilight Tea,” an afternoon tea served until 10pm, which includes vegetarian and vegan options.
There is also a cocktail menu featuring a list of drinks inspired by botanical infusions and spritzes.
