Four of us went for an early dinner on a quiet Tuesday evening and were all thoroughly impressed by this hidden gem, in a pretty central location. The menu was quite varied and they kindly gave us complimentary bread and an amuse bouche each – a nice surprise - then we were also pleasantly surprised by the really excellent dishes prepared and presented to us, the mussels were beautifully soft and perfect in a nice soup just a hint of smoke. Both the chicken and lamb main courses were so well cooked with a nice sauce and very good portion sizes, we were all impressed. So much so that we all chose a dessert and once again the presentation and flavour combinations were just wonderful. The staff were very patient and attentive, we all loved it and vowed to return. The furniture is comfortable and the décor is stylish. This great hidden gem needs a light shining on it. It is well worth a visit, or two.
