I took my friend for afternoon tea for a birthday treat . I didn't print of the voucher but had email for confirmation etc. Before we were even allowed to sit down in the restaurant I had to produce my voucher which, because of Internet coverage, it took up to 10 minutes. After standing akwardly at the main desk , my friend beside me , I had to ask if we could actually sit in the restaurant and present the voucher on exit . Great welcome and to be honest embarrassing for me . Taking the voucher at the start was apparently all for my benefit !!! Sadly from my experience it over shadowed our afternoon tea experience and it is unlikely I will be returning . Other hotels do this so much better ....
