This is a hidden gem. Wanted somewhere where an old schoolfriend visiting from America and I could catch up and chat in peace. On arrival we were offered our choice of table and chose one by the window with a cooling breeze coming through the open window. The waitress offered to close it but we were quite happy, being of a certain age! The food was delicious. We both had a starter of melon, rocket, walnut, radish and walnut oil salad. Huge plateful which would have done as a lunch main course. Main course we both had salmon and mussels with roasted vegetables and a red pepper sauce. Everything was cooked to perfection and again a large portion. My friend and I were so pleased with everything we left a decent tip. The surprising thing is that in all the hullaballoo going on a few hundred yards away with the Festival, this was so quiet we were only one of 2 tables occupied in the restaurant. Lets hope not too many people find out about it or we might struggle to get a table next time!
