Pleasent experience
We enjoyed the visit but the restaurant was very cold. My partner had to keep her coat on. I noticed a few other customers also with coats on.

Will defo go back
Really tasty and good value dishes. Nachos are massive. Were able to accommodate my sister with her garlic allergy no problem. Good location as well so really easy to get to. Will definitely return.

Latin American restaurant in Edinburgh city centre
Las Iguanas is a lively and colourful Latin American restaurant and bar on Edinburgh’s George Street. The street level dining room is great for watching the city centre street life while the basement room looks into the open plan kitchen. Rum, tequila and cachaca cocktails are a draw alongside an extensive range of wines, beers and softies.
Food from Brazil and beyond
From Brazilian coconut curries to Mexican burritos, the dishes at Las Iguanas span many South American cuisines. What all the dishes have in common is that they are made from fresh ingredients; the kitchen makes over 30 salsas and sauces each day.
There are taco sharing trays and a wide tapas selection – both ideal for groups of friends. A grill selection features spicy chicken, burgers, skewers and a flame-grilled sirloin steak served with zingy chimichurri salsa. More exotic choices include the xinxim – chicken and crayfish in a creamy lime and peanut sauce with spring onion and garlic rice, fine green beans, coconut farofa and sweet plantains. Veggie, vegan and gluten-free diners have a wider than usual range of options.
