Located upstairs in the Harvey Nichols department store, Forth Floor Brasserie specialises in serving up modern Scottish and European cuisine, alongside breakfast, brunch and afternoon tea. All dishes are beautifully presented, meaning that both the view and your plate will be competing for your admiration.
Menus at Forth Floor Brasserie shift with the seasons, but sample starters include feta & tomato tart or crispy black pudding with apple & cabbage slaw.
Mains might feature pan-fried duck breast with Morteau sausage, sautéed potato, black
pudding and sherry vinegar dressing; Scottish mussels in white wine sauce or wild mushroom & parmesan gnocchi.
Over in the dessert section, expect treats like dark chocolate brownie with pecan maple mousse or banoffee cheesecake mousse with honeycomb and chocolate ice cream.
Within easy walking distance of both the castle and Waverley station, Forth Floor Brasserie at Harvey Nichols is about as central as you can get. The store offers its own pay parking, meaning that you won’t have to stroll too far for your meal.
