About Forth Floor Brasserie - Harvey Nichols
Been better in the past
Seemed disorganised - they didn't have our booking despite having confirmation email from 5pm. Food very average. Set menu not that inventive. Been three times in the past and was much better. The service was very slow to start then got better. Definitely something up as not normally like this but not inspired to return anytime soon.
Contemporary brasserie in the city centre
Located upstairs in the Harvey Nichols department store, Forth Floor Brasserie specialises in serving up modern Scottish and European cuisine, alongside breakfast, brunch and afternoon tea. All dishes are beautifully presented, meaning that both the view and your plate will be competing for your admiration.
Modern Scottish and European cuisine
Menus at Forth Floor Brasserie shift with the seasons, but sample starters include feta & tomato tart or crispy black pudding with apple & cabbage slaw.
Mains might feature pan-fried duck breast with Morteau sausage, sautéed potato, black
pudding and sherry vinegar dressing; Scottish mussels in white wine sauce or wild mushroom & parmesan gnocchi.
Over in the dessert section, expect treats like dark chocolate brownie with pecan maple mousse or banoffee cheesecake mousse with honeycomb and chocolate ice cream.
