About Seasons Vietnamese
-
Authentic, tasty and great value.
Food was excellent. Quite limited menu but everything was delicious. Would have been great if it had been a bit busier and more dessert options. BYOB with cheap corkage an added bonus.

Vietnamese restaurant in Edinburgh’s Newhaven
Edinburgh is well served for Thai restaurants but there is less opportunity to try dishes from its nearby neighbour. Seasons Vietnamese Restaurant on Newhaven Road is helping to change that. If you have ever wondered what people eat in Hanoi’s Old Quarter, now is your chance to find out. As with many of the noodle shops of Vietnam’s capital, the decor at Seasons Vietnamese Restaurant is functional rather than plush.
Aromatic broths, fresh spring rolls
Vietnamese food is aromatic, rich and varied. Fresh herbs are more characteristic of the cuisine than handfuls of chilli. At Seasons Vietnamese Restaurant, this means steaming bowls of pho, the national dish of meat broth, slippery rice noodles and beef, chicken, pork or seafood toppings. Alternatively, there is a great range of cold vermicelli dishes with crunchy roast peanuts and a punchy garlic and chilli sauce.
Fried and fresh spring rolls; crispy Vietnamese pancakes and pork chops or chicken wings fried with lemongrass are also popular. Finish your meal in true Vietnamese style with coconut pandan layer cake and hot, strong, Vietnamese coffee with Condensed milk.
Local transport links
By the junction of Newhaven and Ferry Roads, Seasons Vietnamese Restaurant straddles the borders between Leith, Trinity, Newhaven and Pilrig. There is limited on-street parking in the area and numerous bus services run along Ferry Road to the city centre, Leith and beyond. Ocean Terminal shopping centre plus Victoria and Pilrig parks are nearby.
