Agoon Pani Indian Cuisine on The Shore is a spacious restaurant in Leith – right in the heart of one of Edinburgh’s most vibrant eating out scenes. Light and bright, the dining room has a large, colourful mural and big windows that give onto The Shore. A family-run business, it prides itself on the warmth of its welcome.

Dishes from Bengal to Sri Lanka

Both traditional and contemporary dishes from Pakistan, Nepal, Sri Lanka and Bengal as well as modern India feature on the menu at Agoon Pani Indian Cuisine on The Shore. From the tandoor-roasted chicken tikka to the lamb madras and king prawn dansak, all the old favourites are there.
For something a bit different, many diners like to explore the house specialities like the polashi chicken – devised by the chef to bring back memories of spring in Bangladesh. There is also a wide range of seafood dishes like the East Indian fish curry – boneless tilapia cooked in exotic spices with ginger, garlic and coriander pesto. All the dishes are cooked to order from fresh ingredients.
