    The Bothy

Great location as just across from the stadium. Food took a while to arrive but they were busy and we had loads of time so wasn't a big deal. Service was good and friendly.

    The Bothy

Lovely meal for Mother’s Day and at a very good price. Quite a lengthy wait between ordering and being served (50 mins) but enjoyed the lunch when it arrived. Salmon was particularly good and my family said the roast beef, and the roast chicken were also very tasty.

Traditional Scottish fare with a twist

The Bothy Restaurant & Drinkery is part of the Murrayfield Hotel Family. Located in Edinburgh’s West End, just a short distance from the city centre and minutes from Haymarket train station, it’s the perfect destination for business, leisure or family occasions. The Bothy offers diners a warm and welcoming environment with a contemporary twist, to enjoy the fine selection of Scottish fare on offer.

Varied menus

Authentic Scottish cuisine is at the heart of the kitchen at The Bothy with a delicious offering of traditional favourites combined with a selection of more modern dishes. Each dish is created using the finest locally sourced produce, while still maintaining great value for money.

Favourites include the Steak and Ale Pie baked with puff pastry, mash and market veg and the Chunky Chicken Breast, roasted roots, dauphinoise potatoes with proper gravy. The outdoor courtyard provides the perfect setting for guests to enjoy their meal in the beautiful Scottish surroundings.

Wide drinks selection

The drinks cabinet isn’t too shabby either with a selection of over 40 whiskies and a number of cask ales, craft beer including one of their own. Throughout the week there experts are on hand to tell you everything you need to know about beer, whisky and wine with flight nights and tasting sessions.

There’s always plenty going on at the Bothy including the weekly quiz, food and drink gatherings and live music from local talent, a highlight being the Sunday Jazz trio. As well as plenty of family friendly activity such as arts and crafts, breakfast clubs and cartoons to keep the children entertained. Free wifi access is available every day of the week, ideal if you’ve got a working lunch or just feel like a nosey on Facebook.
