    Fantastic restaurant!

We were in Edinburgh for the Edinburgh Marathon and decided to visit the Mumbai Diners Club after I saw them on and the reviews were very good and we weren't disappointed! Being from Glasgow (the curry capital of the UK) I was expecting a decent meal but not much wrong we were! The restaurant itself is inviting and comfortable with every table having pristine white tablecloths and napkins (a sure sign of a classy establishment), the staff are extremely welcoming and helpful but the real winner is the food, it's simply sensational! It has a good few of the old classics which I'm sure would have been fine but the menu also offered up some dishes that just sounded too delicious to ignore. My wife, son and I all tried something we'd never tried before and were blown away by our choices. From our starters to our sweets we found everything to be fresh, delicious and expertly cooked and presented. If you like Indian food you'll just love this restaurant, I guarantee you won't be disappointed!

Modern Indian dining near Haymarket

Mumbai Diners’ Club offers a contemporary take on Indian cuisine. Previously Mumbai Mansion on Morrison Street, the restaurant now has a new location and name. However, you will still find the same ethos of giving classic Indian flavours a modern makeover, with close attention to style and presentation.

Grilled specialities and Scottish produce

Mumbai Diners’ Club offers an innovative menu, including grilled dishes using the traditional Indian tandoor, Tawa hot plate and Sigri stove. The Indian-trained chefs aim to highlight the finest local produce in their creations, including venison boti and marinated guinea fowl. Seafood options include monkfish tikka, mussels in Nilghiri sauce and grilled lobster with Allapy-style moilee sauce. The tasting menu offers the full experience and vegetarian specials such as Paneer Pasanda are a regular feature of the menus. Drinks options include fresh lassis, beers, spirits and an extensive wine list.

Close to station and theatres

Mumbai Diners’ Club is on Atholl Place, around a five-minute stroll from Haymarket Station and the tram hub. On-street parking is restricted but there is pay parking a ten-minute walk away on Semple Street. The Traverse, Lyceum and Usher Hall theatres are all within convenient reach.
