We're relative regulars but our guests were first timers, keen to try out the food we'd spoken so highly of for a few years. Food quality was mixed - some vg, others not so great (beef kofta coarsly-minced, tough, lots of gristly bits). The menu seems to change less frequently than in the past and the dishes seem to be increasingly 'budget', especially the puddings which are decidedly underwhelming. We reckon the standard has dropped quite a bit in the last year or 2, which is a shame. The 5pm menu is still good value but the food seems to have lost its sparkle, somehow.
