The Grill Room on a Wednesday evening had less life than a funeral parlour but the food and service made up for the dearth of a lively ambience. Good quality smoked salmon, an excellently seasoned rib-eye steak cooked precisely medium rare as requested, and an interesting selection of Scottish cheeses provided three courses I could not fault for the money (25 including coffee and petit fours). Pleasant and knowledgeable service added to the experience.
A minor (very minor) quibble is the rather limited three choice selection at every course.
