We loved each dish. Each dish beautifully made and presented

Having eaten here before through 5pm booking we were looking forward to this 3 course meal with wine. The Metro Brasserie maintains its high standard. The food was superb and the service excellent.

Located in the Apex International Hotel on Grassmarket in Edinburgh’s Old Town, Metro Brasserie is a cool, contemporary restaurant and bar offering an eclectic range of dishes from around the world. An international hotel serving international cuisine

Items available at the bar include a range of sandwiches, snacks such as salmon skewers or hummus with carrot sticks and naan bread as well as the staple dishes of most pub menus – chargrilled beef burger and beer battered haddock with chips.

The brasserie’s menu, on the other hand, is a little more diverse and includes dishes such as roast duck with Asian slaw and a ginger & lemongrass dressing; cider braised pork belly with apple & black pudding and a mustard mash and the risotto primavera with asparagus, peas and mint. Gluten-free and vegetarian dishes are available, and some menu items can be adapted to suit dietary requirements.

Old Town & city centre accessibility

Metro Brasserie is on the vibrant Grassmarket within the Apex International Hotel in the Old Town area of the city centre. Edinburgh’s Waverley train station is around fifteen minutes on foot from the restaurant and many bus stops are nearby. A taxi rank and pay and display car parking can be found close to Cowgate, although the hotel does have limited payable on-site parking.
