About Bisque Brasserie
Well worth a visit
Went for pre-theatre meal with family and friend. Food was excellent and staff friendly and obliging. My mum thought her pork chop was one of the best she'd ever had. Would be nice to visit in the summer and sit outside.
Contemporary Mediterranean restaurant in south side
Bisque Brasserie can be found in the Bruntsfield Hotel in Edinburgh’s south side. To the southwest of the city centre and close to the Meadows, the restaurant is on Bruntsfield Place and serves both Mediterranean and Scottish cuisine. The brasserie has a laid-back yet welcoming feel and uses the best locally sourced produce to provide a ‘casual gourmet’ dining experience to guests. Wheelchair accessible and child-friendly, Bisque Brasserie also has a separate bar adjacent to the restaurant where visitors are welcome to relax with a drink before or after your meal.
A varied menu with something for everyone
The brasserie’s menu offers a range of Scottish and Mediterranean dishes as well as gourmet burgers and prime Scottish beef steaks. Lunch items include a variety of sandwiches like the warm chicken BLT, tuna & creme fraiche and croque monsieur along with lighter dishes such as chicken Caesar salad, nachos and seafood chowder.
Diners wishing for a taste of the Mediterranean may opt for the Greek salad, goats cheese, tomato & chilli ravioli or the lamb tagine with apricot & coriander cous cous. Alternatively, visitors who wish to sample some of Scotland’s dishes may choose the pheasant & venison terrine, the Scottish smoked salmon with smoked mackerel pate, the breast of chicken filled with haggis or the battered haddock fillet with peas and thin fries.
Accessibility for south side & Bruntsfield
Bisque Brasserie is within the Bruntsfield Hotel on Bruntsfield Place and offers free parking to restaurant visitors. Haymarket train station is a brisk fifteen minute walk from the restaurant and there are several bus stops with services running to Edinburgh’s city centre.
