    Well worth a visit

Went for pre-theatre meal with family and friend. Food was excellent and staff friendly and obliging. My mum thought her pork chop was one of the best she'd ever had. Would be nice to visit in the summer and sit outside.

Bisque Bar and Brasserie is in the Bruntsfield Hotel on Bruntsfield Place by the much loved Meadows. Enjoying stylish and contemporary good looks, the brasserie has a laid-back, welcoming feel. Guests are invited to dine in a booth in the bar or in the restaurant area. If the weather is being benevolent, you could take a table in the garden terrace.

Extensive choice of dishes

Bisque Bar and Brasserie offers several menus in addition to their popular pre-theatre and main menus. From light meals and sandwiches to afternoon tea, lunch and evening meals, there is something for everyone. What they all have in common is local and seasonal sourcing.

From the main menu, popular main courses include char grilled teriyaki salmon, roast rump of lamb and a selection of pasta, risotto and salads. There is a range of burgers and a choice of several dry-aged steaks from grass-fed Scottish cattle. Dessert might be an apple crumble or a cheeseboard comprising three Scottish farmhouse cheeses such as Clava brie or Mull Cheddar.
