Philly's on down here soon
Jo and I were the first 5pm customers on this new offer. 2 steaks, chips, grilled cherry tomatoes and mushroom, chimichurri sauce and a bottle of wine (sauvignon). The steak was fillet medium rare superb. The only downside was the very noisy music quiz that was on. If 70's and 80's are your scene fine. It made conversation difficult. But don't let this sway you from a top class meal.

Fun gastropub in South Gyle
Describing itself as a ‘day hub and night pub’, Philly’s brings something fresh and new to South Gyle. You can enjoy a relaxing time from morning till late.
Filling favourites
Philly’s offers up a menu of locally sourced, crowd-pleasing gastropub fare.
Expect starters like chicken liver pate with oatcakes; crispy fried Peterhead Squid with chipotle mayo, and halloumi fries.
Over in the mains, you can dig into classic choices such as fish & chips; macaroni cheese, or braised Scotch beef chilli with rice and dips (there is also a meat-free chilli option). A highlight of the desserts is the churros with chocolate sauce.
The violet-lit bar serves up an impressive range of gins, with pinks as a quirky speciality. Cocktails, wines, beers and spirits are also available.
