Chinese Restaurants

Chinese restaurants are all about choice these days, which is great news for diners. That’s because China is much too vast to have a single ‘Chinese cuisine’ — just a head-spinning range of local dishes. And now that regional food is taking centre stage, from spicy Sichuan to colourful Cantonese to flavourful Fujian.

In Glasgow, try out award-winning Cantonese fine dining at Lychee Oriental, Chinese tapas at I-Chai, chic pan-Asian at Dragon I, or even Malaysian-Chinese at Banana Leaf. And if you prefer a casual, diner-style vibe, Kowloon Bar and Kitchen fits the bill.

In Edinburgh, sample classic Cantonese at Chinatown, dine in elegance at city institution, Rendezvous, or feast on AA Rosette Northern Chinese cuisine at Chop Chop.

In Manchester, try out authentic regional dishes at Middle Kingdom, head for a buffet spread at The Real China and for traditional dim sum, make your way to Sakana Pan Asian. Chinese dining choices are growing and growing, so stay ahead of the foodie game and sample as much as you can.

Best Pan-Asian place I've been to in Glasgow

Had dinner here with a friend, opted for the two courses for £12 set menu - starter and main. Food was fantastic! Excellent value for money, would happily go back again and pay full price. My only issue was I ordered a 7up as listed on the soft drinks menu and it tasted more own brand 16p lemonade with a wedge of lime. Not a major issue and certainly not enough to ruin my night but would have ordered something different if I'd known. Two courses and a round of drinks for two came to less than £30, just the right portion sizes for us too.

    Relaxing meal

We attended the restaurant on Friday 28th June on the 2 courses for £14.95 offer. Everything was excellent and the meal was tasty. The chocolate cake at the end of the meal was better than Costco cake, and u can't get better than Costco cake, but DRAGON-I can. So good!
