An award-winning cider garden with heated beach huts, a beer fridge fashioned from a red telephone box, and thistle-themed wallpaper all combine to create a unique dining spot. Gourmet British and international pub grub
The menu at Stag & Thistle is divided into wee bites, classic mains, burgers, steaks, seafood, pasta, crepes, salads and even a We Love Tatties section.
Dishes can change, but sample picks include the Stag & Thistle Burger with tattie scone, haggis, cheese and whisky sauce; steak pie made using the chef’s own secret recipe, and chicken katsu curry.
Veggies can tuck into choices like the creamy Thai spiced vegetable crepe, while potato lovers will go wild over the chilli cheese tatties. For dessert, you can enjoy treats such as regular fresh baking or Parma Violet cheesecake.
Slushy cocktails served in giant strawberry cups are a particular highlight of the drinks menu, while the afternoon tea is served on a highly Instagrammable mini picnic bench.
