Food really good and I would definitely return!

Crab cakes superb! We had purchased a 5pm lunch deal and also visited the Botanic gardens so it was a great day all round!

Comfort cuisine with a social conscience in the West End

Vesta is a social enterprise restaurant that promises a warm welcome, fantastic bar and healthy feel-good food. Set in the heart of Edinburgh city centre, the menu is bursting with vegan and vegetarian plates, comfort classics and indulgent burgers. Vesta is in partnership with SocialBite, meaning that when you visit you get the option of paying forward a meal or coffee to a homeless person. This means that you can enjoy the twin warm glow of both a slap-up meal and knowing that you’ve helped someone. The restaurant’s decor is cheerful, stylish and rustic, perfect for enjoying a relaxed meal.

Hearty classics, indulgent burgers and veggie delights

Vesta serves up ‘food to glow’ that is simple, delicious and nutritious with big flavours to boot.

Menus can be updated, but sample mains include the Vesta Burger hand-pressed in a brioche bun with Isle of Mull cheddar, the chargrilled 28-day dry-aged rib eye steak and the pan-roasted cod & prawn.

Veggies and vegans can enjoy the miso-glazed seitan & cashew stir fry, the mushroom stuffed seitan wrapped in maple facon and the mac ‘n’ cheese with vegan cheese and pasta.
The dessert selection includes sticky toffee pudding, apple & rhubarb crumble and the Scottish cheese plate.

The drinks list features over 30 gins and whiskies; international wines from responsible suppliers; creative cocktails and craft beers, as well as freshly made juices and smoothies.

On Sundays, you can indulge in the Bubbles & Brunch special, which offers classics like full breakfasts, buttermilk pancakes and baked eggs, all accompanied by fizz.

West End transport links and attractions
