About Amarone Glasgow
Great Friday night out!
We chose the dearer option on 5pm. The scallops and prawns were very good. The chicken main was quite large but had a bit of a sweet sauce as did the rare lamb rump - but from previous dishes of rack of lamb asked for the sauce to be served on the side - perfect! We were all too full for desserts, though we did share a fabulous focaccia before the starters.
This place is amazing . The food never ceases to amaze me .The service is first class as well . I would highly recommend.
Contemporary city centre Italian restaurant
Amarone is a stylish Italian restaurant positioned beside Buchanan Street Subway station in Glasgow’s city centre. Ideally located for theatre-goers and weary shoppers, the restaurant is also a popular choice for a romantic rendezvous or just an informal meal with friends or family.
Italian cuisine made with fresh ingredients
The restaurant’s chefs use the freshest produce in their dishes and, where possible, will alter any dish to meet special requests or dietary requirements. Amarone’s signature dish is their antipasto misto, which consists of a selection of Italian cured meats, grilled and marinated vegetables and mozzarella.
The menu has an admirable selection of pizzas and pastas, as well as plenty of meat and seafood dishes, but don’t necessarily expect the usual fare – Amarone is perfect if you’re in the mood for Italian food, but would like to try something new. The restaurant’s cappesante con pancetta (seared Scottish king scallops with pancetta) is popular amongst diners, as is the rack of lamb with sauteed potatoes.
