Say hello and never wave goodbye at the Waverley Tea-Rooms

We had afternoon tea and a natter. It lasted 3 hours with endless refills of our teapot. The cake-stand was packed with delicious cakes, scones and sandwiches and nothing was too much trouble, even the doggy box that my cousin took home for her hubby. Thank you.

    Afternoon Tea

We booked afternoon tea for 3 of us at £13.95pp. It was good value for money and the food was nice. There were 3 finger sandwiches each, scones with clotted cream and 3 different sweet choices. Good selection of food - the goat's cheese and blueberry sandwich was gorgeous, as was the wee pot of cranachan. Scones were nice, but a bit too big - I'd have preferred a couple of smaller ones, and the one wee jar of jam between 3 was a bit mean. However, there was no offer of more tea and those having coffee only got one cup rather than a pot. All told it was nice though and i would go back.
