    La Bonne Auberge review

I went here with my friend for a 50th Birthday treat before a show at the Concert Hall & we thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon tea with bubbly. The only thing that spoiled it was the service charge they placed on the bill. We prefer to decide on what to tip and not have it imposed especially as it was nearly five pounds. It would not put me off going back but I don't agree with the charge.

    We will be back

I arranged a stop in the Fenwick hotel en route to another hotel in Ayrshire for a special treat for my partner and I. I only wish we had stayed the full weekend at the Fenwick. The lunch menu was excellent and we both had steak pie and the whole meal was an absolute treat. The steak pie meat was cooked to perfection and melted as soon as you ate it, the dish was complemented with mash and a new potato and seasonal vegetables. Just perfect, we then finished off with crumble and custard a lovely meal to start our weekend and will certainly go back to stay and enjoy further samples of their menu. Anyone considering going to the Fenwick, you won't be disappointed.
